James Pearson, a glass painter, was born in Dublin about the middle of the 18th century. He learnt his art in Bristol. There are windows by him at Brasenose College, in Salisbury Cathedral, and in Aldersgate Church, London. Pearson also painted some designs after James Barry, R.A. He married Eglington Margaret, also a glass painter, the daughter of Samuel Paterson, a well-known book-auctioneer. He died in 1805.
